          I had a pair of Clarks desert boots, but the thick crepe sole and lack of a shank made them very unstable and I was twisting my ankles too often. These shoes are light, very stable and amazingly comfortable. After 10 minutes in them I threw the desert boots away. They fit the bill between casual and dressy and blend in on any occasion. These will be my travel shoes from now on!
